That thing called "Tinadhana"

Does "Forever" really exists? This has been the word of mouth of many people, especially the broken-hearted ones after watching the famous movie " That Thing called Tadhana" starring Angelica Panganiban and JM de Guzman. Well, all I can say is that, there's only one thing that i'm sure of about this life, if a trip is unplanned, it will happen,  it's more fun, more exciting, and its called FATE.

It was All Souls Day, Phillip Jun and I decided to go on a "short" motorcycle trip. We left early in the morning at around 4:00 am and just like what we usually do, somewhere in Tarlac, we ate breakfast and contemplated whether we go to Baguio, Aurora, or go home, and we both agreed to go to the City of Pines.

It was lunchtime when we reached Baguio City, after having a quick lunch, we had decided to go home but along the way, Phillip changed his mind, he wanted to go to Sagada! Yes, the far North Sagada, hahaha, I disagreed and we had a little argument, but the husband won, so with a little help from some Police officers and our Mobile phone's GPS, we went our way to the place where broken hearts go, and our new adventure finally begun.

Since this super adventurous trip was unplanned, we were so unprepared. We started to feel the chill as we went deeper and higher into the mountains, but all the uncomfortable feelings were forgotten when we finally reached this point, and of course, we stopped for a photo op. This is another achievement unlocked for us!

We really can't stand the cold as we literally rode through the clouds. It was heavenly, but freezing cold as well, so we stopped by an ukay-ukay shop to buy some jackets, it was a wise buy and the jackets were very useful, made us feel comfortable during the trip.

My words won't do justice to the beauty of the places we saw on our way. I was mesmerized, felt like I was in a different world, never thought communities exists in such places, my ears were aching because of pressure as we go up and down the mountains. I felt so little and humbled as we stood on this majestic creation around us. Imagine yourself standing higher than the cell sites, the feeling was just indescribable!

The roads were getting rougher and steeper as we approached Sagada. It was already dark when we arrived and the first thing we did was to look for a hotel to stay for the night. We checked in at around 7:00 pm, rested, freshened up and went out to eat dinner.

We went to a place called the Yoghurt House. The place was famous so we decided to have dinner here, but to be honest, we were not satisfied, They seemed to be undermanned, so you really have to wait for too long for your orders, and the yoghurt, a lot of people say it's good, but my taste buds didn't agree.

We went around to buy some stuff, souvenirs, shirts, snacks, and we saw this ad of a room service massage, we immediately called and set an appointment for that night, what a best way to wrap up that tiring but very unforgettable day.

Day 2

Traveling doesn't just relaxes your body, it heals your soul, and it will make you realize so many things about life. You will learn to appreciate all the wonderful things around you and thank God for creating all these things, and the best way to show gratitude, is to pay a visit and offer a prayer of thanks, for keeping us safe throughout this journey.

Sagada is famous for its Hanging coffins, and this road leads to that place. Unfortunately, since this trip was so impromptu, we have no time and budget for this activity so we decided to just go around and enjoy the place and the weather, and just go back and experience the activities next time.

Phillip Jun and I found this place so peculiar, in a very good way. Felt like you're in a very far and different world, away from all your life's woes. Maybe that's the reason why people come here for soul searching, to pick up their broken pieces, and start over again.

We don't have too many pictures of the beautiful places here in Sagada. This trip was way before that famous Filipino movie was shown in cinemas so we have no idea of that place where you can shout " Tama na!!! Ayoko na!!!!!" , or had a sweet time drinking hot chocolate together, but we did visited a very nice restaurant called Sagada Lemon Pie house.

Their lemon pie's really delicious! The sweet and tangy taste, perfect with a hot brewed coffee and a beautiful view.

To answer the question if "forever" does exists, If forever means a lifetime then I guess it does. You don't have go hunting for love because it will come to you when the right time comes, and if that time comes, treasure it, take very good care of it, love is like eating a lemon pie, a lot of times it's sweet, sometimes it's sour, but you'll still eat it because it satisfies your soul and it makes you happy, and I'm starting to get cheesy now huh.

This Sagada trip was not planned, just like the two of us, it just happened, serendipity brought us back together just like how it brought us here, That thing called "Tinadhana" .
